Anne Marie helps the best tech graduates build startups. Previously, she was Head of European Outreach at Entrepreneur First and is currently in Singapore to run its first Singapore cohort. She was also Co-founder of Beyond West Travels, which organizes interaction between North Korea and Western countries.
If you've ordered stuff online from Zalora or Lazada, you've probably used Ninja Van to get your goods. Chang Wen was the CEO and founder of custom retailer, Marcella. After that venture, he found a way to make delivery a little more efficient, and thus, Ninja Van was born. Fast forward to today, and you have a successful company that handles 10,000 deliveries a day.
Cheryl is co-founder of The Social Co., the team that initiated the 50 For 50 project in September 2014.Cheryl also chairs the Young Women's Leadership Connection (YWLC) and helps with programme development at Jia Foundation. In her day job, Cheryl heads the private investor division of equity and debt crowdfunding platform, FundedHere.
After five years as Managing Director of an international advertising agency, Carolyn decided to take time off the corporate race to rediscover her forgotten self. After learning to silversmith in Florence, she founded Carrie K in 2009. The company creates playfully provocative artisan-crafted jewellery that challenges traditional notions.
As the CEO of Ninja Logistics Pte Ltd, Chang Wen has co-founded and built South East Asia's fastest growing logistics solutions company, Ninja Van.
Prior to Ninja Van, Chang Wen founded a men's apparel e-commerce business, and the experience offered him insight into Southeast Asia's logistics industry.
Jeffrey is an experienced theatre director and drama educator. In 2006, he won the NAC Arts Professional Scholarship to pursue his Masters (Drama and Theatre Education). Jeffrey joined the Singapore Arts Festival team National Arts Council from 2007 - 2012 as Assistant Director and established ‘Com.mune’ - its Education and Outreach programme.
In October 2010, Seng Choon started Dignity KitchenTM - a training school to train the disabled and the disadvantaged to be food stall operators or hawkers. In his free time, he lectures on entrepreneurship at S P Jain Centre of Management and also assists ex-inmates of Selarang Drug Rehabilitation Centre and the pre release prisoners Changi Prison.
Jia Chuan is curious about how people, technology and governance can be harnessed together to better the lives of societies around the world, and wants to create movements in pursuit of this. He co-founded Conjunct Consulting (Singapore), Southeast Asia’s first social change consultancy, and is now working on another project to connect people to awesome projects.
Mei Yi joined Peatix in 2015 to launch the service in Malaysia and currently has the privilege of working with an incredible team based in Singapore to drive the growth of Peatix in the APAC region (ex. Japan) to empower independent community and event organisers. She works to increase the adoption of Peatix by cultivating vibrant Peatix communities in tech, the arts, music and lifestyle.
Garuda Robotics is a Singapore-based startup bringing the power of (cloud) robotics to enterprises. Mark was previously an award-winning lecturer in the School of Computer Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, where he revamped and launched the flagship multidisciplinary robotics capstone. While at Carnegie Mellon University, Mark worked on human-robot teams for urban search and rescue.
Gwendolyn is currently spearheading Mashable’s global expansion into Asia. Previously she built and sold tech startup-focused media, SGEntrepreneurs to Tech in Asia. Gwen was also a founding team member of an early stage technology investment firm in Singapore with a portfolio that includes iHipo (acquired), Eteract (rolled up into LunchActually) and Padlet (Y Combinator alum).
Wai Leong pursued work in different sectors of the F&B industry for an all-rounded view into the workings of the restaurant and bar scene, and to equip himself with a variety of complimentary skillsets. He has just completed a series of pop-up restaurants and is continuing to work on various projects within F&B.
Zhenzhi is a User Experience (UX) practitioner with extensive experience. He was a former Senior User Experience Architect at Tribal Worldwide Singapore, and is a Nielsen Norman certified UX designer. Zhenzhi is proficient with both waterfall and lean UX process and the techniques of building prototypes to validate ideas and concepts.
Roshni is the CEO and Founder of Tickled Media - the publisher of theAsianparent.com. She founded the Female Founders Network, a non-profit aiming increase funding to female founded companies. Besides her interest in the start-up world. Roshni is also an Executive Producer of Untouchable: Children of God - A 2014 documovie about young girls in the brothels of India
SPANG&LEI is Serena Pang and Ng Wen Lei. Serena Pang is currently a performance studies researcher who was awarded the “2014 Performance Studies Emerging Scholar Award” by NYU. Ng Wen Lei is an artist & educator, and a graduate of NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP). Wen Lei was awarded the Tisch School of the Arts Scholarship from NYU, New York from 2012 to 2014.
